Students with Disabilities

While there are specific physical requirements for those wishing to become a Cosmetologist (i.e. minor lifting, standing or sitting for long periods of time, hand and finger dexterity), The Hair Academy will make reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities on a case-by-case basis. The Hair Academy requires current documentation from a licensed physician or other professional in the field related to the applicants disability if testing accommodations are requested. The Hair Academy requires applicants to request specific accommodations, in writing, at least 30 days prior to class start date. If the request is reasonable and required documentation is provided, the school will provide requested accommodations.

Transfer Students

According to the ND State Board of Cosmetology, a student who transfers to a Cosmetology school in North Dakota from a Cosmetology school located in a different state will be given credit for all of their completed hours upon approval of the completed hours. A student transferring from a Cosmetology school located in North Dakota will receive full credit for all hours completed upon certification of the ND State Board of Cosmetology.
