Mission Statement

It is our mission to provide a quality education and career preparation in Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. We strive to provide a professional training in a positive, highly motivated atmosphere with qualified instructors that care about your success. We incorporate many different cosmetology companies into our curriculum to ensure a complete diverse, education to our students.

 

About Our School

The Hair Academy covers 5300 square feet and was newly built in 2005. in 2021, we were honored to be voted "Best Cosmetology School" by the Bismarck-Mandan community!. Thank you!

We have free convenient parking is available for all students and clients. Tours are available anytime during business hours. We are proud to be a professional salon academy.

 

Theory Room

The first 45 minutes of the day are spent in the Theory Room. Milady's Standard Cosmetology Textbook is used for theory class. It is a North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology requirement that all students attend theory class.

 

Basics Room

The Basics Room is where students complete their first few months of school. Students must complete 360 hours of basics training before they can perform services on clients on the clinic floor.

 

Front desk

The front desk give the students the opportunity to greet clients and practice answering the phone and booking appointments in a professional salon setting.

 

Clinic Floor

After students complete 360 hours of basics training, they move out onto the clinic floor where they practice on clients, mannequins, and each other in a salon setting. All work is done under direct supervision of a licensed instructor.

 

Nails and facial room

The school offers plain manicures, hot oil manicures, acrylic nails, pedicures and facials.

 

dispensary Area

The dispensary area is where the laundry facilities, color supplies, and towels are located. This is also where students mix color and sanitize their implements.

 

Student Lounge

The students are allowed two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch every day. The school provides each student with a locker. A kitchenette area with refrigerators, microwaves, and toasters for student use. Also, outdoor patio area for student use.

Office

The office has a computer with internet access and a library for student use.
